Horrible Drum Synth

One of the most disgusting builds ever. At least round #5 with a Synare clone. Smashed it into a cookie tin with a screwdriver 'cause the drill was out of juice....The output never works right, but it makes some great noises.. sometimes.

Dub Siren hacked from three 99 Cent Store toy sirens.  Well worn at this point. Capacitive bend on the po-po siren.

Stupid photo "theremin" with 555 timer and photo resistors beside it's old friend--a small pentatonic mbira I built for the boy, but keep stealing back because it sounds so nice.

Lo-Fi Looper

Hacked voice recorder with pitch adjustment and two loop lengths.

Lo-Fi Looper

Soldered and scotch-taped this together in about an hour before CFO 2018 summer tour.  One-shot, long-play, and loop playback.  Pitch adjustment wired backwards.  Slowly self-destructing. Built off a cheap Chinese voice recorder chip. Sounds horrible. We love it.

Electric Cigar Box Mbira 

The classic CFO mbira sound. Backwards steel rake tines on a cigar box with a contact mic + the old Ototo touch board wired up for good measure(before we lost it at Fusion Festival... the board that is-- mbira is still in full effect).
